After a foggy arrival in St Helier, the sun came out for everyone to explore the town (and dispose of several pizzas and beers in the evening). We are currently heading back to Southampton under sail, in gorgeous sunshine.

By the time, we had all had an on deck sandwich lunch, taken the pilot on and come alongside, the sun had come out . Suddenly, layers were being shed and sunglasses put on.

After a quiet night at anchor off Portsmouth Tenacious made her way up the Solent and was alongside by 9:00 am by the QE2 terminal.

We have all had a lovely day. 6.45 start for many of us as we were on passage and we were taking an early pilot for the 7.00 lock to enter the port of St Malo France.
Well worth it though as it is a beautiful medieval walled city.

Aft Starboard are currently on watch. We are still on engine power, hoping that we might be able to set sails soon. We have been delighted to have Anthony helming, which has been an enjoyable experience for all our watch but especially the man himself.

We left Amsterdam at 2pm on Friday and headed for Oostende. All was calm until late evening when we hit choppier waters, quite an experience for those of us who hadn't found our sea legs. There was plenty of advice and support on hand from the old-timers, and the best advice was to get from deck to bed in five minutes flat!

Bacon rolls were served on deck in the glorious morning sunshine, followed by a briefing.

I came on board last Saturday in Dartmouth to find the crew suffering from cabin fever, having spent most of the previous week at anchor sheltering from gale force winds. The evening was spent sampling local fare and downing a pint or two.

Voyage 342, we are heading towards Amsterdam. It has recently come on to rain so we had to pull in the sheets and outer mizzen and the inner and outer jib.

Tenacious, Final night!
Early morning, ready for our watch. We couldn't wait to get started on our last full day. The weather looked promising and although it wasn't fit for us to hoist the sails we still had great fun climbing the masts.
