We handed sails and braced the yards as we finally made the port of Trapani at 19.00 hours.
The crew were all grateful to be out of the swell and roll and spend a quiet night on board with harbour watches.
The following morning the ship was moved to a mooring closer to the town centre.
Once breakfast was over we set into the marathon task of Happy Hour and this was an extra special one putting to right all the mess made by the storm. Finally Tenacious was looking her usual self all spick and span and was admired by people passing by.
The voyage crew were given leave and set out into the town to explore.
The following day - 8/3/13 we left Trapani about 9am. Everyone fairly sodden in some drizzling rain while setting sails - the first time we have actually had so much sail to set.
By 2.30 we are in bright sun shine on course for 320, with course and the lower topsail on the fore mast and lower topsail on the main. Also the inner jib. Wind is westerly direction, force 7. Clear blue sky. Heading north and seeing where we get to. Monaco here we come.
