'Twas (another) dark and stormy night … Team AP ventured on deck at 8pm into something euphemistically described as 'rain’. Oh, hah hah, it was not mere rain! This, reader, was the ocean flying horizontally at 30kt across the unprotected bridge, lashing our heroic Team AP.
But we were not cowed! Bravely, we faced the elements – not only that, we braced the yards. All four of us.
The robust strains of Scout songs chased away both rain and clouds, but, alas, it was the following watch that enjoyed the clear skies, not us. For Team AP, it was four hours of character building – or so we were told. (We had a different opinion, believing our characters to be already quite sufficiently well built.)
