19/11/12 - Lord Nelson

Dated: 21/11/2012

Day 32 19th Nov

Good afternoon from Forward Port.

Nev, who has given himself the afternoon off after a morning slaving in the galley, graced the bridge with his presence resplendent in his crushed strawberry t-shirt matched by his sunglasses and aubergine-coloured Kindle. He demanded that we divulge specific details of his life aboard but legal prudence limits our reportage in this respect.

The quiz and time change went ahead as planned last night. We would like to thank Captain Barbara for including more general knowledge questions as opposed to 'popular culture’….unfortunately it turns out we’re not very good at that either!

The murder game continues underground and Tom is reeling with indignation, having been lured into the Captain’s cabin, only to be assaulted and murdered by an Armistice Poppy. Latest reports indicate that there are only a few players left.

The heat is still increasing and making sleeping difficult below decks, though a few tropical storms last night and this afternoon brought a welcome respite. When the crew disappeared below to shelter, we were half expecting them to reappear with shower gel. Poor David wasn’t given much warning before his shower on the bridge as Agata decided to empty the bimini (sun shade above the bridge) over his head – drastic measures in place to save water!

Another butterfly appeared alongside last night and unfortunately laid itself to rest on deck today: it’s the shape of a Brimstone but the lime green colour is unfamiliar. Can anyone help identify it? As it took a special shine to John Barker (still minus the beard) last night, we’re wondering if it was bringing him a special message.

Forward Port – Kate, Ali, Tom, Agata, David, Nick & ……what’s his name?
