Last evening dinner turned into a tale of disaster for Peter but
before we
go into his woes it was quite funny how much mess a bottle of
ketchup can
make when it brakes when hitting the deck, back to Peter (it
should be noted
that the ship was rolling about quite a lot) firstly peter
gets his meal
which slides off the table onto his lap
Then he gets a drink
which also ends up all over the place his watch leader
Phil escapes to the
other table and is soaked by a glass of squash tipping
over.
Peter then
makes his way to the bar opens the beer fridge and cans fall out
and roll all
over the place he then opens the wine locker there was much
clinking of glass
but nothing broken he was then seen to be walking across
the deck with a
glass of wine and to no one's surprise by the time he sat
down his glass was
empty but rather than being drunk it was all over the
deck and walls. Lucy
being on mess duty was cleaning the tables after dinner
and asked if we would
pass down the sticky mats and disappeared under a hail
of said mats as we all
obliged with much enthusiasm.
We had another night of lumpy seas so lee
cloths were again much in evidence
but we are now at anchor off Malta and
will go into Valletta tomorrow
morning.
Although we have had choppy seas
cold winds and not much good weather we
have been sailing most of the
way.
