We started the day in Port Elizabeth. After breakfast and taking the voyage photos, we were free for one last excursion before leaving beautiful Bequia Island.
Quite a few of the crew took taxis to the other side of the island to visit a turtle sanctuary. Turtles are reared until five years old and then released into the wild. We were able to observe quite a few turtles up close and personal.
After lunch it was time to return to the ship and get ready to continue our adventure. We were at harbour stations at 3pm and Beth steered the ship expertly out of the bay.
We are now motoring between Bequia and St. Vincent islands and will soon turn north to pass St. Vincent on the eastern side on our way to Antigua.
We all enjoyed Bequia very much but are happy to be back at sea and looking forward to our next destination.
Forward Starboard: Amelia, Beth, Brian, Chris, James, JC, Jim, Jude and Margaret.
