We continue to pitch and bounce into 20 knot winds under damp steely skies – the Atlantic showing its true colours!
Contributions to JST fundraising following Liz’s head shave have already raised an amazing £390 on board. Do go to www.justgiving.com/lizbravestheshave to donate and help smash her £500 target.
This morning Ninja Nige’s lure was outdone by Tenacious Ted’s irresistible pink squid. Nige was on hand to haul in a fabulous tuna which we understand Captain Barbara is turning into Sashimi to try later.
All this exciting action was going on whilst Juliet gave a talk on her amazing ocean yacht racing exploits. This she did at short notice following the postponement of Steve’s talk on Tristan de Cunha which we look forward to later in the voyage. Meanwhile yesterday afternoon John gave a wonderful, emotional and amusing talk about guide dogs and in particular his two, Faith and Andy.
As we write we are all wrapped up in our red and yellow weather gear and woolly hats (especially necessary for Liz) although Scottish James is still in shorts and even contemplating sunbathing!
And finally… we will have no peace from Mislav if we do not mention that he is still celebrating Croatia’s amazing 3-0 victory in the World Cup over Argentina – the defeat of which Ayelet is still in mourning – NAPRJED HRVATSKA!
Lots of love from us all and a special hello to St. Peter’s School, Tavistock.
