Since our inception, the Jubilee Sailing Trust has prided itself on ambitious international programmes and taking our very special mission to countries across the world. During our history, we have travelled over 786,000 nautical miles and visited more than 100 countries, covering every continent on the planet (including Antarctica!).
In 2015, we established our first overseas operation in Australia and this was followed by New Zealand in 2016. These organisations have bolstered our fundraising in these markets and helped to ensure the successful delivery of local programmes by the formation of charitable, educational, corporate and governmental partnerships.
Ambitious, adventurous programmes and mission expansion remain at the heart of our strategic agenda and, longer-term, we would love to see a larger fleet of JST vessels serving a much wider community of beneficiaries across the world. This international expansion is being spearheaded by our International Advisory Council of Regional Presidents.
International Advisory Council & Regional Presidents
In 2018, with the help of Carmen Zgouras our Special Advisor we established an International Advisory Council to support our ambition of significantly growing the number of people, from across our Global Network, who benefit from our work each year.
Our International Advisory Council is comprised of some of our most generous supporters, who are each figureheads within their community. With their support, we are establishing the foundations to support our expansion into new markets.
Our International Advisory Council members are:
- HRH The Duke of York K.G., Royal Patron
- Amy Lam Poon, President of JST London and Hong Kong
- John Calvert-Jones, President of JST Australia
- John Christodoulou, President of Monaco and Cyprus
- Miky Kambara, President of JST Japan and China
- Nikolas Tsakos, President of JST Greece and First Admiral of the Fleet
