Rehabilitation Lecture with Dr Nick Carter

On 9th September 2008 medical professionals are invited to Southampton for a PGEA accredited education event aboard Lord Nelson, an impressive 55 meter tall ship that is also fully accessible, giving them a unique insight into the Jubilee Sailing Trust, an organisation that has been leading the disability rehabilitation field for the last 30 years.

Lord Nelson Refit

Lord Nelson is having a facelift.  After 22 years of sailing with over 24,000 people sailing as voyage crew, Lord Nelson is having a major refit.  This autumn, Lord Nelson will make a final trip from Southampton to Milford Haven where she will start a winter of renovations. "By doing this major refit we are making a clear commitment to the future of the ship and the future of the Trust" said Chief Executive Amanda Butcher.

The Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) is delighted to announce that on Monday the 21st of July the Peter Harrison Foundation made a major contribution to the future of the Trust when Peter Harrison himself presented a cheque to Vice Patron Peter Snow and President Jacquetta Cator aboard SV Tenacious in Canary Wharf.

Lord Nelson and the Girl Guides Sail into the History Books

On Monday 21st of July forty young women will set sail from Liverpool to the Norwegian port of Maloy on the first leg of the STI Tall Ships Races during which they will make a record for being the first all female crew in the history of the Tall Ships Races to sail a Class A tall ship.

Lord Nelson Honoured to host Royal Visit in Liverpool

On Friday 18th July 2008 HRH The Duke of York will board STS Lord Nelson, moored in Wellington Dock to meet many of the Captains of the International Tall Ships Fleet. Introduced by Colonel Ron Dadswell, Trustee of Sail Training International, the Royal visit stands out as a highlight at the start of what promises to be a spectacular Tall Ships Race.
