Hello there everyone out there! Tenacious here, reporting from the docks at
Siracusa, Sicily!
It is a cloudy and chilly day out there, but all the same we are heading out
for a nice walking tour of the town here.
We pulled in early in the morning on the 20th, having sailed in from Malta
the day before. We managed to come into Sicily under full sails yesterday,
though we were only managing 4 knots at best.
As always when we are moored, we have been attracting much attention from
onlookers. We were also a nice romantic backdrop for a couple of young
lovers in their little white Fiat last night, which provided a little
entertainment to those of us on watch around midnight.
Today we will be celebrating a birthday on board, as the smell of baking
wafts through the galley. Happy Birthday Becky!
Tomorrow we get a nice early start northwards along the coast, to Mount
Etna, which has recently erupted. That visit should prove to be exciting!
