7 days on Lord Nelson From:£910 *

UK - LN950

Place: Southampton (UK)
Date: 17/06/2018
Place: Fowey (UK)
Date: 23/06/2018

From the JST’s home port of Southampton, climb aboard the STS Lord Nelson for an adventure into the English Channel.

We’ll be heading for the north coast of France where the winds will help decide where we visit. The Normandy port-towns of Le Harve and Cherbourg are popular stop offs, whilst we could explore further west along the Brittany coast.

There may even be time to breeze through the Channel Islands, before sailing back across the Channel to the breathtaking Cornish coastline.

The week long adventure will conclude in Fowey, situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The vibrant harbour is packed with maritime history, whilst the picturesque town is graced by an array of Mediaeval and Georgian buildings that are well worth exploring after your nautical adventure.

Travel Tips for Fowey

The best way to get to Fowey is by getting a train to St Austell and from there a bus to Fowey.  You can get bus number 24 which runs at intervals throughout the day and takes about 45 minute to reach Fowey. You’ll need to get off at the Safe Harbour Hotel, which is a 6 minute walk to Fowey Town Quay Landing (which is likely where the ship will be). More information on buses can be found on this website.

Another option is to get a further train to Par, a short distance away and will make for a shorter 15 minute bus journey to Fowey. Please get in touch if you would like more information.
