The Jubilee Sailing Trust (JST) is delighted to announce Amy Lam Poon as its new President for UK and Hong Kong. Amy will join the JST’s International Advisory Council, supporting the strategic development of our work around the world. The initial announcement was made at The Tower of London, on Saturday September 1st 2018, during the conclusion of the Lord Dannatt Round Britain Challenge. The JST’s Royal Patron, HRH The Duke of York, K.G., then congratulated Amy personally on the appointment during the JST’s 40th Anniversary Dinner at Windsor Castle on September 27th 2018.
Amy’s appointment underscores the JST’s global ambitions for its work and commitment to bring its uniquely powerful voyage experiences to as many people as possible across the world. The JST first visited Hong Kong during STS Lord Nelson’s global circumnavigation in 2013 and Amy’s appointment significantly raises the possibility of a return visit soon, along with a longer term permanent presence in the region.
Amy is well placed to support the JST with these exciting ambitions, as both a prominent leader of the Hong Kong Chinese community in London and highly regarded, creative and pioneering philanthropist.
