To celebrate the JST turning 40 years old this year, we’re asking our supporters to raise £197.80 each to commemorate the year the Trust was established.
Our annual JST Giving Day takes place on 21st March, and we’d love your help in raising funds and awareness of our mission. But if you haven’t got time for that, then we’d love to see donations of £19.78 which go to supporting people who will benefit the most from our work.
Here’s some ideas to start off with:
Host an event
Dust off your best tea set and host an afternoon tea party. Or if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, how about organising a dance, a gig or hold a classic film night in a community hall? For something more simple, bake sales are always a popular fundraiser!
Take part in a sponsored event this year
Take part in a fun run, or more serious sporting challenge. Or it could be something simple like a sponsored head shave, a sponsored clean or a sponsored walk. Alternatively, join a JST sponsored event: Click here for more info.
Host a sale
You could create your own product such as Easter cards or cakes or perhaps upcycle unwanted furniture. Plant sales can also work really well as does the classic jumble sale – you never know what you might find!
Bucket collection
Contact your local supermarket or Council to ask if you can hold a bucket collection. You can also offer to bag pack which busy shoppers are often very grateful for. We can supply the bucket!
In whatever way you can help the Trust, we recommend setting up an Everyday Hero page to collect online donations. Simply fill in your details, add a bit about the JST and then share the online page with your friends via email or social media. Click here to find out more.
