As everyone is aware, the situation regarding the Covid-19 pandemic is ever-changing in the UK and around the world as cases of the virus continue to escalate. There is currently no evidence to suggest that the situation will improve in the foreseeable future.

It is therefore with huge disappointment that we have taken the tough decision to cancel our three voyages in the Caribbean between February and April 2021. The affected voyages are:

  • Antigua roundtrip 16-23 February 2021
  • Antigua to Bermuda 3-16 March 2021
  • Bermuda to Portland 19 March-18 April 2021

The safety of our Permanent, Volunteer and Voyage crew will always be our number one priority. With that in mind, given the challenging circumstances and restrictions we are all facing, together with the likelihood that more will follow,  we have decided to keep Tenacious in UK waters during this period.

Our 2021 UK voyage programme and Tall Ships Races remain unaffected at this point in time.

We also want to give our voyage crew as much notice as possible, so they can change their plans and/or cancel their travel arrangements, hence we’re announcing this now. We’ve been in touch with all affected voyage crew.

We’re really disappointed to have to make this decision and want to pass on our apologies to everyone who was looking forward to their voyage in this beautiful part of the world.

We remain more determined than ever to get Tenacious out on the water with our fantastic crews as soon as we can in the safest possible way.

If you have any questions about this, you can email voyages@jst.org.uk or call us on 023 8044 9138. Thank you as ever for your ongoing support.
