Sadly we have received confirmation that the 2020 Tall Ships Race has been cancelled due to Covid-19; SV Tenacious was due to join the race and complete additional voyages this summer.

Due to the cancellation of the race and the essential Special Survey which begins in August, Tenacious will not be running public voyages until early next year (with the exception of a Christmas and a New Year voyage).

We are naturally hugely disappointed that we will not be sailing until late 2020, and we will be writing to Voyage Crew whose bookings have been affected in the coming days.

Tenacious has safely returned to the UK and is currently alongside in Barry Docks where she will remain during the coming weeks.

We will shortly be releasing our plans for voyages around the UK next year, and are looking forward to sharing news of this with all our supporters soon. With the 2020 Tall Ships race moved to the summer of 2021, our voyage programme has also been adapted to include this.

Looking beyond 2021, we are planning to return to the Mediterranean region for a period of time during Summer 2022.

An announcement will also follow regarding a new partnership which is planned to launch in late 2020.

We’d like to thank all our supporters for bearing with us as we work through these changes, and for your continued support.
