*** News from the Jubilee Sailing Trust – 28 September 2020 ***
We have been closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation in both the UK and abroad, and have taken the decision to cancel our two public voyages in the Canaries at Christmas and New Year.
As we’re all aware, we’re facing an increase in restrictions in the UK and we’re conscious that these voyages are in a part of the world also impacted by the pandemic, in particular through travel arrangements with the UK. Taking into account the current government guidelines, we feel at this time that the conditions will not be right for these two voyages to go ahead.
We also want to give our voyage crew as much notice as possible, so they can change their plans and/or cancel their travel arrangements, and we’ve been in touch with all affected voyage crew in the past few days.
We’re really disappointed to have to make this decision and want to pass on our apologies to everyone who was looking forward to a Christmas or New Year voyage. Like you, we were so looking forward to welcoming voyage crew back onboard Tenacious at the end of the year.
Please rest assured we remain confident that we’ll be able to continue our 2021 voyages, as planned.
Thank you as ever for your ongoing support for the JST.
