LN898 04/07/2016 – Independence Day dawned for our lone American (Nancy the galley slave) bright and sunny. By smoko we had demolished two cakes to celebrate Captain Richard’s birthday and Matt’s in Aft Port watch.
A lack of wind meant we arrived in Boulogne without any sail but still looking so good the town stopped to gasp.
We moored in the delightful sunny afternoon in whiffing distance of the fish market, and eagerly observed by a vast number of sea gulls.
Off to sample the delights of this little French town for the birthday and Independence day celebrations, where we are lead to believe there is a Welsh and a Belgian bar……
