LN896 01/06/2016 Today we set sail from anchor; this was very exciting with lots to do for everyone. The salty sea dogs that we have suppressed inside have finally broke free and are now at full sail. It was a great day for sailing with a strong wind and waves to match, very enjoyable at the helm dealing with the gusts of wind and plenty of ropes to pull.
The need for refreshment was satisfied with pizza, chicken stew and banana custard (and one or two sugar almonds).
Our stow away racing pigeon has now moved into the captain’s cabin and been heard to mutter “pieces of eight”. The captain has been heard to mutter “pigeon kebabs”.
We finish the day at anchor watching the sun set over the Scilly Isles
