Having departed Cherbourg at high water, we went out into the bay and got everything ready for the next race. This time it was a race to see which ship could get the furthest north in an allocated time. After happy hour, bracing and lunch it was time to set our sails. With virtually no wind we set nearly everything and crossed the start line first, Tenacious eventually crossed the line some 20 minutes later. The race was from 3-9pm and it was clear from the start that Lord Nelson was quicker at sailing in light airs. After much tweaking and precise helm orders we eventually finished the race 1.7nm ahead of Tenacious and the victors of the race.
Well done to all the crew on board, we did it!!!
