And so all too quickly we come to day 6 of our voyage.

Another lovely day with the sun dawning over a misty Worbarrow Bay where we had anchored for the night, with Tenacious nearby.  We had had a glorious afternoon ashore the previous day, exploring the delights of Lulworth Cove…..some venturing no further than the nearest pub with a sunny beer garden! Sadly, no sailing today as we had to get back into the Solent to be on the finishing line for the ASTO small ships race, against wind and tide. Another sunny afternoon saw 15 voyage crew with the BM’s out on the yards stowing sails, ready for tomorrow’s arrival back in Southampton, with the presentation of prizes for the 3 races we had sailed against Tenacious.

The watchleaders debriefing was only full of praise for everyone, BM’s, Capt. Darren, Mate Steve and all the other permanent crew and volunteers.  Everyone agreed that despite the depleted numbers with only 3 watches, we had had some amazing sailing and had really worked well as a team.  There will be some sad goodbyes tomorrow
