Day 9

Today we head to Wellington. The weather is kind to us today for our crossing back to the North Island. The further we have got into the strait the winder it has gotten quite strong at 30 gusting 40 at times with 2 and a half meter wind waves. We are due at the pilot station at 4pm and the wind will calm down a bit once we get into the Wellington harbour. We currently have a JIB, Fore Topsail and the Main topsail and apparently we are going too fast. We got up to 10.4 knots at one point but currently cruising at 8. We will get to Wellington to early. The ship is rocking and rolling, a nice way to finish off a wonderful trip at sea.

Tonight we are heading to dinner for a watch dinner together before we all say your byes and head our separate ways around the world.

To all on board, it has been a pleasure and a privilege to sail with you. Thank you and god bless you all, safe sailing.
