The big event of the day was the special cake served at morning smoko to celebrate 100,000 miles on Lord Nelson and Tenacious, over 1000 nights on board, excluding alongside for maintenance, for our salty ol’ sea dog Mike Van Baaren. He did come down from the yard to cut and eat his own cake, and then carried on removing the rust spots! Can any other JST stalwarts compete with this?
