After several days of brisk winds and uncomfortable swell, today we have a bit of sunshine, and with

four square sails set we’re sailing along at a good 5.5 knots.

As its Sunday a short service was held, on the side deck aft rather than the foredeck as we were still taking the odd wave over the bow.

Last night was film night and some of the crew enjoyed watching The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, while our watch was out having fun battling the 40 knot winds and spray. It was a beautiful night though, with a carpet of stars appearing through the clouds every now and again, and the wind was still warm. Today we’ve crept a few miles further south and there’s a definite chill in the air.

Thermals will be going on tonight!

Forward starboard, Ishbel,Craig, Jane, Romi, Allen, Steph, Bob and Jim.

P.S The murder game continues and our watch is healthier than many with 5 members still’alive’!
