LN901 08/08/2016 – This afternoon the wind has been strong at over 30 knots and the swell is coming from two different directions making the ship move with a corkscrewing motion. Earlier in the voyage this would just have been something that was noticed as “I feel sea-sick”. Now, having got my “sea-legs” and the knowledge gained on our watches from recording the “sea state”, wind direction and other factors plus the informative explanations by the deck crew an understanding about the sea and what it means to sail on it starts to creep in.
