12th July 2014.

Our last stop in the Caribbean was Anguilla, a small island a short sail from Antigua. We arrived just before lunch and after the usual clearance procedure we were finally free to go and explore. In true English naval tradition the boats were run ashore, food stores plundered and free Wi-Fi ravaged. The beach was amazing, soft white sand and turquoise water, plenty took the opportunity to get a final swim before we headed North to cooler waters. Colin’s birthday was celebrated upon our return to the ship; us with Caipirinhas, and our beloved watchleader horizontal in our arms wearing his new Rasta hat which has a secondary use as an emergency beacon. A very good day was had by all.

13th July

Once again this morning we sailed off the anchor, another beautiful day and despite light winds we sailed off and away from Anguilla.
At the time of writing, Daft Port is handling Lord Nelson’s final passage out of the Caribbean. The six day passage northwards will take us past amazing natural wonders, such as clouds, waves, and the horizon. For those of you looking for a more nautical update, this watch we unleashed the Spanker for the first time on our voyage as we gather speed on our journey northwards.
Next stop Bermuda.
