The time is 2.30 am and three of Aft Starboard are in the chartroom discussing the day’s events, while watching a fishing vessel getting closer on the radar. And closer. Do we wake the on duty officer, or do we prepare the sailor strainers.

We left Leith at 19.00, after an afternoon being briefed on all the excitements to come in the coming days.

After inching through the lock and the voyage crew going aloft, we anchored in the  small ships anchorage in the bay for the night. Tomorrow, we go to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. If the wind continues to increase, we should get some decent sailing.
