Night watches were treated to a sky full of stars and warm winds – it seems odd to be on watch at midnight in shorts and tee shirts…
This morning dawned hot again, after breakfast it was happy hour which down below was like working in an oven but medic Vicki’s impersonation of Dolly Parton singing ‘9 till 5’ cheered us all up.
During smoko we had 3 ladies of the ship having a contest to see who could spit melon pips the furthest out to sea it would be wrong to name these ladies but they and all on the ship know who they are! At present we are sailing under all square sails making about 7 knots heading to the Caribbean still with about 2,000 miles to go.
