For me the day began with serving the breakfast for the rest of the crew. Dealing with demands of multiple requests by Alan (just trying to test me)and the rest of the voyage crew.

The race began after lunch today and although there wasn’t much wind we still made over 4.5 knots. It was all going well with Lord Nelson holding the lead until the wind shifted on the nose and backed the sails. Both we and Tenacious had to start engines and hand sail. Despite this we realised just how quickly we had become a fine tuned bunch of sailors, pulling ropes, easing ropes, setting sail, handing sail, and bracing.

At the time of writing this, we are anchoring up in Swanage bay dodging multiple lobster pots! After a night at anchor tonight we will resume our race against Tenacious tomorrow and hopefully continue to hold our lead.
