LN904 29/08/2016 – Day 2 – Breakfast at 8 (after being woken by Grahame welcoming us to paradise at 07:30). We went on deck for rope lessons followed by tea, coffee and delicious home-made shortbread. We loosened the gaskets to get the ship ready for the “Parade of Sails”.

We left the berth at 13:30 and as soon as we cleared Blyth harbour, sail was set, the engines turned off, and we took our place in the parade joining a host of splendid “Tall Ships”. Having “saluted” HMS Tyne, there was plenty of manoeuvring and sail handling before the start. Soon after 18:00 we crossed the line and we were off!

Next stop, Sweden!
