LN896 31/5/2016 Tuesday finds sailing west in blues skies and strong winds from the north. We have a stow-away called pigeon, but at least he knows where he’s going.
The adventure continues for the voyage crew with the first land fall still slightly in the balance but hoping for a quiet anchorage off Penzance tonight and calmer wind to get to St Marys tomorrow.
The entertainment this morning after rope tying, was a fire practice for permanent crew when Bosun Stuart conveniently got lost, happily being found in the (fake) smoke of the laundry and eventually saved.
Everybody on board is enjoying the wonderful sailing conditions, while long showers are a no no (so Scilly Islands may not be so keen to see us) and those not on the bridge are sunbathing.
What a hard life.
