LN898 – 01/07/2016 Nellie has set off again; heading for Antwerp this time to start the Tall Ships races.
In record time the new Voyage Crew arrived, took on stores, completed the basic safety training and briefings, evacuation drills and with the help of a tug- left Southampton.
We raced and lost to a kite surfer; who then fell into our wind shadow and abruptly tasted Solent water, while we feaster on shepherd’s pie and crumble.
As the sun set we anchored off the Isle of Wight for our first night.
Tomorrow we cross the channel on the westerly wind hoping the pound is holding against the euro.
