At the Jubilee Sailing Trust we greatly value the time and effort that all of our volunteers give in order to help maintain our tall ship, Tenacious.

Tenacious goes through regular periods of maintenance throughout the year and is maintained to the highest standards to ensure the safety and comfort of all those who sail with us.

Volunteers come from a wide range of professional backgrounds and work together to share their skills and expertise on both of our ships.

Maintenance in 2020

This year Tenacious will undergo her special survey between August and October in Sharpness.

Dates: 24 August to 31 October.

Location: Sharpness, Gloucestershire.

We’re on the look out for specialist skills and experience during this period. If you’re an engineer, carpenter, plumber or electrician and would like to put your expertise to good use on our tall ship, we’d love to hear from you. Equally if you’re practically minded, do get in touch.

In return food and accommodation is covered, as well as the opportunity to put your valuable skills to good use. You’ll be part of a great team doing incredibly important work and will to get to know our tall ship even better.

You can book your place here.

More information

Read about Neil’s experience here. He has been volunteering with maintenance on our ships for four years and says helping out in this way has contributed hugely to his JST experience.
