“On one voyage was a brother and sister, Jennie and Ben. Jennie was in her wheelchair and was coming on the voyage to help her rehabilitation. Ben was understandably very protective of his sister but quickly relaxed once he realised how supportive everyone was.

After starting to explore St Malo’s cobbled streets in her wheelchair Jennie took to her crutches as it was easier and more comfortable. As we sailed past Jersey the following evening Jennie organised a group of us to play twister around the fore mast. When we got back to Southampton Jennie walked down the gangway to meet her parents. It was brilliant to see the progress she’d made and her parents reaction!”
