Pulling Together is a rolling appeal to maintain a funding flow for ship maintenance, repairs and improvements to Tenacious, to keep her safe, certified and able to deliver the JST mission.  The money raised through this specific, rolling, appeal will be for capital spend items only and ring fenced as specified.

As well as individual donations, we welcome support from Trusts, Foundations, Corporate sponsors or an ‘in kind’ gift of the equipment we need.  If you are considering fully funding an item, forming an equipment fundraising group or are able to contribute in kind, please do contact fundraising@jst.org.uk or call us on +44 (0) 23 8042 6868.

Our aim is to fund these required items and then use our volunteer network as much as we can, to help us with the actual labour on board, so that we continue the camaraderie and history of Tenacious being built and maintained by volunteers. There will of course be situations where we need highly professional skills that we can’t source in our volunteer network.  These costs are outside the scope of this appeal.

‘Pulling Together’ officially launched for Tenacious’ 21st Birthday on Wednesday 1st September 2021.

The figures quoted here are based on estimates previously gathered, but final costs may vary when it comes to the point of ordering or completing the work. To allow for this we have included contingency in all the figures used in this appeal. We have not included the costs of contractors on top of these items as we hope to be able to use our own skilled crew and volunteers, however this may also increase the anticipated costs. Pictures are illustrative only and may not represent the actual item or manufacture finally purchased.
