TNS4071, Adelaide to Hobart, 24/10/2016 – 04/11/2016
Greetings from Aft Port Watch.
Today the weather is much kinder to us as we head through Bass Straits towards Banks Strait and the East Coast of Tasmania. We have a Westerly wind force 5. GPS Position 40.356 S 147.19.3E. Morale is high after happy hour and we have just witnessed Fireman Scot get a wave fully over him on the Port Bow. He is off to find some dry clothes. The sun is high in the sky and the white horses are chasing our 10 knot progress. We celebrated Katie’s Birthday today as she was travelling from The USA to be here on the actual day. Fascinators and strange hats have been broken out to mark Melbourne Cup day. We may have to have some horse play in the lower mess later.
