We (the voyage crew) arrived in Southampton and joined Tenacious in dribs and drabs all excited and eager to get under way.
As normal the adventure started with the issuing of bunks and watches, followed by kit. Then of course it’s the very interesting and very important compulsory talks. Once the theory was explained to us it was then time to roll up our sleeves and do the practical side, which everyone seemed to pick up really quickly. Once the tuition was over and we had dinner, then one of the voyage crew, who was a world war 2 historian, Bjorn, gave us a presentation about the build up to D-day as on this voyage we are planning to visit some of the D-day theatres.
