The swell of the last three days has now subsided and we are just left with the occasional lurch as Tenacious falls in to a trough. However the sea through the port holes in the lower mess is an Atlantic blue. We have been moving under sail alone for three days, making a steady five knots. We are planning to make land fall in Lanzarote in the port town of Arracife tomorrow morning. During last night’s eight to midnight watch the ship was illuminated by a romantic moon. The mood was relaxed and friendly while a look out was kept and a steady course was steered.

We are now enjoying a brilliant sunny sail under blue skies with a sparkling sea. The best day of the trip so far.
