Thursday morning dawned a bit grey and overcast. The voyage gradually arrived on board – some flew in that morning, others had flown in a day before to give themselves chance to explore Gibraltar. On flying into Gib you could see the masts of Tenacious as the plane got near the end of the runway. The ship is moored just over the border in Spain walking distance of the airport. Although it did seem weird going through Customs at the airport, collecting luggage exiting the airport and then heading straight for the Spanish border and going through customs and immigration again.

The voyage crew all arrived safely and early, meaning Captain Darren Naggs could introduce the rest of the permanent crew and give a brief welcome speech before Richard the mate gave a short overnight safety brief.

The rest of the permanent crew are 2nd mate Tony Houghton, Bosun Gemma Royston, Chief Engineer Pete Stonehouse, 2nd eng Gaz Bramwell, Cook Micah Hendrix, Medical Purser Jo Hicks, Supernumerary MP Clive Haycock, B.Ms Ted Castledine, Neil Marshall and Alan Edwards, deck cadet Josh Kelly and engineer cadet Reece Williams.
