Beautiful Sao Miguel in the Azores! We board the ship between 4pm and 6pm excited about sailing, and looking forwards to exploring the Azores and sighting whales and dolphins. Bunks are allocated, passports handed over, introductions made, then a communal meal and time to relax on board or wander ashore. A large procession followed the band of drummers and trumpeters to the church and statues were carried through the town to celebrate Easter Friday.
