We are near the island of Ven having passed through the Sound. We passed Elsinore (Helsingor in Danish) castle but did not see the ghost of Hamlet’s father.
We have had sunshine and clear skies since we left Aarhus. We have 9 sails hoisted and have attracted lots of yachts with cameras flashing. Arran volunteered to clean all the heads by missing the morning watch meeting but we are all filled with sympathy for him now that he is suffering the first blister on board.
We hope to anchor tonight before the start of the race at 1100 Tuesday, 09 July 2013
