Well another perfect 24hours with the JST, what’s that like? Yesterday the good crew of Tenacious spent our last day in Caen visiting the many attractions, cafes, and monuments, ending in a lovely meal with most of the voyage and permanent crew attending. The next morning we were set to transit the Caen canal, with a steady head wind we motored against the breeze. We passed through the canals many bridges, including the famous Pegasus Bridge, where the crew lined the port side and sung “We’ll meet again”, waving to Madame Girondee and a very appreciative crowd! Another exciting moment as we cleared the Caen Lock Gates to the sea and a fresh beautiful sailing wind broke the waves on the shallows. We are now in clear blues skies, with Fore and Afters set, all close-hauled. We’re making 8-9 knots in a force 7. I’ve never had such a good sailing wind, in clear skies and good sunshine, and am looking forwards to another great Day Sailing with the JST
