Day 11 on the voyage or in the world outside – London Marathon Day

It seems strange to be writing this report anchored of Muros in the sun and about to write a small report regarding the London Marathon. Many of you who have sailed on the ships or done maintenance over the past few years will be well familiar with the sight of Neil Marshall Bosun’s Mate on deck or doing chippy work. Some of you will know that he married Camilla last year.

Today Camilla his wife went for the official Guinness world record attempt for the quickest time to run a marathon in a wedding dress. The dress has to comply with various items including a minimum length for the train on the dress. Neil was following a tracker and she was on target at the half way stage. Texts then started to be received Camilla was interviewed live on BBC1, and said that she was running for the JST and that her husband is currently on board Tenacious sailing off the Spanish coast.

Well done Camilla, you might not of got the record this time but a big Congratulations for completing the marathon. People on the ship have filled in a sponsorship form and the money is still coming in. If anyone out there would like to sponsor her then the link is.
