Hobart – Melbourne
Sunday 13th November. Day 2 and first day at sea. We left Hobart, Tasmania just after breakfast this morning. The wind has been blowing from the South East for the duration of the day, the sea was relatively rough in the early afternoon (approx. Beaufort scale 7), however it has decreased in severity during the following hours. The wind also feels less strong as we’ve altered our course. The weather is overcast however on our starboard side the island of Buny is visible. No sightings of other vessels or anything of interest in the sea thus far. At 17:30 we set the main and the foremast Lower Topsails to make the most of the prevailing winds.
Melbourne here we come.
