Day 6.
It is our second day at sea under sail and currently we are making course towards the beautiful island of Corsica. Averaging a speed of 3 knots with the wind shifting to North. Captain announced his concern about lack of progress necessitating the use of engines to make up time.
The day was spent in basics of Sails description and use. An introduction to the various knots used onboard ship.
Later we handed all sails and started the engines. We resumed course under the moon light.
The morning watch reported sights of dolphins swimming along the starboard side. Later in the morning of day 7 we spotted turtles swimming alongside the vessel.
The weather cleared and now we have clear blue sky up ahead.
Special mentions to Ali our smiling cook to sustain us with her delicious food and cakes to keep us going.
