Today we continued sailing up the west coast of Tasmania with a South Westerly wind pushing us on the beam. The “super moon” last night illuminated the waves and ships rigging and square sails. Albatrosses and Sea Gulls have been playing over the white caps. Rough chop has given way to a more measured rolling swell as most people have found their sea legs again. Tonight we are at anchor in the Hope Channel – which runs between Hunter Island and Three Hummock Island which is just off the north west point of Tasmania – before heading northwards across Bass Straight tomorrow.
