We picked up an early pilot and prepared ourselves to moor up in Puntareanas. We were not under sail as the wind remained unpredictable as it had been through the trip. Mooring lines were laid out and fenders at the ready once we were safely moored up the gangway was ready so we could spend some time ashore. It wasn’t long before a suitable restaurant for all of the crew, was located with exceptionally good fish and other dishes.

Leaving day eventually comes and we have all bonded together so we wished each other well with a safe journey home reflecting now on the 23 days on board a Tall Ship how privileged we had all been. Visiting some of the smaller islands and seeing the fauna and flora was so special The seas are full of life and looking out the ship you can see patches of the sea where the bigger fish are driving the smaller ones to the surface and millions of small terns are scooping them up. Then the pelicans come by and take their turn in the feeding chain. There have been wonderful days of adventure and fun we shall always remember and give thanks to the JST and crew of Tenacious .
