What a beautiful day for sailing. After our safety briefings and instruction sessions in Weymouth we departed the pier and anchored in the bay. After a quiet night we awoke to a lovely morning, motored out past Portland and then set our sails. All the square sails were set, we managed to sail all the way across Lyme bay. An ideal afternoon in the sunshine with force 4-5 heading across Lyme Bay en route for Torbay. An ideal start for our voyage.
