Leaving Cherbourg port, we were surprised by dolphins playing in the wake at the front of the ship. Captain ordered to set all sails and we set off on our course to Poole. During the day, the Leadership at Sea group planned and successfully constructed a ship log (which measures the speed of a boat in nautical miles), and were tested on their knot tying skills. Hard rain and heavy wind made bracing and squaring the yards a much harder task but, we dried off eating a hearty meal. A presentation from Leadership at Sea rounded off the last evening.
