Left St Malo after 2 nights in the inner harbour. This is a lovely walled city with plenty of cafes, restaurants and a scenic walk around the top of the walls. The ship was taken out by the pilot, with Ben on the helm, through the lock then through the eastern channel with a commentary by the Pilot as we passed by points of interest. We are now anchored off Sark and looking forward to a visit ashore in the morning. Cold and raining at the moment [2.00 am] so hope it will be dry by dawn. Forecast is for South Westerly winds when we reach the Solent on Saturday so hope for fair winds passing the Needles and through Hurst Channel .
