TNS 424
Day 3 Cadiz
With our unexpected extra day a group of us took the train to Jerez, and walked past orange trees and through cobbled streets to see the Andalusian riding school and their dancing horses and caballeros. We poked our noses into the saddlery afterwards, where there was gorgeous leather tackle being made. By this time it was properly lunch time in Spain, so we went in search through the rain. After a fruitless search in the old part of town, we took a turn and happened on an out of the way flamenco bar which was not expecting 11 people for lunch on a Thursday. The anxious proprietor was afraid of sending us off disappointed, but then produced some lovely tapas, the best of our trip so far. This and some wonderful local wine revived us enough for our return journey to Cadiz.
We found the ship tied securely in anticipation of high winds. The winds blew up about 1am, but seem to have passed through for now.
